I just picked up this cover at my stamp club for a buck. The date appears to be October 3, 1938 making it a first day cover. If so, does it have any value? Thanks in advance.

It is the perf 13 1/2 by 14, so I guess that is the first issue (SG 164). $50 return for $1 investment ... not too bad. Not the best shape, but a nice addition to my collection. Thanks for the info.
