I have the ACSC Specialist Kangaroo book, which has helped me find some, but not this one. It is the 3rd Watermark, and has a break at the Kangaroo's nose, which would mean IIA or IIB. I see some very slight indication of the ST break at the top frame, which points to a IIB, but then the right corner looks fine to me, maybe?

The odd thing is the left top corner break. Very obvious, but not listed. It could be a washed out stamp, or the Pale greyish-violet? In any case, what do our experts think?

Definitely Die2B. Break over ST is showing albeit only as a couple of nicks (this break is often inked over but the bulge in the top frame is also a pointer you should look for). The top and right inner frames do not meet, sometimes this break is not always evident to the naked eye and needs magnification to see. Note the break in shading over CE of pence. Breaks in shading over the words of value in this denomination are a good indicator of a Die2B - not a positive means of identification but useful if other indicators are present

Regards
Frank

Thanks Frank. I saw that little knick above the ST and agree that that fact alone would point to a IIB.

What do you think about the Upper Left corner break? I can't find this anywhere in the ACSC. Is this just a one-off? It looks like a constant variety due to the cleanliness of the break, but not sure.

Partime

Yes I believe it is a one off but I cannot recall if anyone has done a study of this denomination to help to a positive answer. But worth hanging on to if you collect these or pointing out if you ever sell.

I forgot to mention in my post that this stamp also shows the top right corner rounded which is a common feature in 3d,6d and £1 Roos in Die2B.

Regards
Frank
