I inherited a stamp collection and came across, 5 inaugurating the United States Postal Service July 1,1971, one of which is a misprint, or oddity if you will, meaning that one of the envelopes printing is off. Can anyone tell me the value of these? I am just now going through this collection, which is quiet large, and will probably have a lot more questions. Thanks for any help.

post a picture please, there were many 'covers' issued by many entities attempting to market the changing of the Post Office Department to the United States Postal Service. (welcome to the forum)

I suspect these are the covers to which you refer. Note the final post provides a link to all of the covers known throughout the US, so you can search the database to find out if yours are particularly common or scarce.
