wt1: I want to believe that I saw something in a hardcopy news release that a couple of test markets have been set up to where the USPS will deliver grocery items (and such) on an early morning delivery schedule from local merchants, ordered from the merchant the day before. I think it must be ready for pick up at the merchant's location before normal carrier on the street time ( or even before that so it can be 'sorted to the route') and delivery made as a 'first stop'. (I am getting old and since I am more susceptible to gas-lighting I may have my imagination working overtime here).
