Israel Stamps

I just received a note from Amos Press/Scott that they decided NOT to publish an annual Israel Tab supplement for 2014. I had been purchasing these supplements since 1968. Don't understand what could have motivated this decision especially since they have converted to print on demand and don't need to carry inventory. There certainly are many Israel collectors.



UPDATE: Amos/Scott advised me they will publish the supplement next year.

Did they say why not a 2014 supplement? What ever the rationale, are they applying it to other low volume stamp issuers? I suppose even print on demand requires "labor" to design the supplements.

Maybe they were under pressure ?

I originally asked why the 2014 Israel Supplement was dropped from my outstanding order and their reply was "The 501S014 Israel Tab Singles is not being printed this year." I emailed back expressing disapointment, "I am really sadden Scott chose not to publish an Israel Tab Supplement for year 2014. I had been waiting all year for it. Hope this decision was not for political reasons." Their only reply was "An Israel Tab supplement will be printed next year." I then checked their site at Amos Advantage to see if only Israel was singled out and it appears they have not issued any supplements to any Middle Eastern counties for 2014.
