The date stamp doesn't show the entire year. It's 30 something. This is on a postcard. Is it just a commemorative cancel? Or an actual flight cachet?

The stamp is a German Reich stamp so likely from 1930s so it is likely a real Zep flight postcard can we see a scan of the whole postcard please?

Thanks its definitely 1930s you can see the 3 in the circular German postmark as you stated so its an actual flight cachet and should have flown on one of the Zeps. Good find.

It's not a flight cachet. It's a cachet advertising a Zeppelin Post Exhibition in Konstanz. The text translates as "Visit the Zeppelin Post Exhibition / 8-12 July 1938 / Konstanz on Bodensee".

Catalogs in Bochmann as Konstanz 4.

It was only used in 1938.

And I forgot to mention, there were no zeppelin flights in early 1938. The Graf Zeppelin was retired (June 1937) and Hindenburg destroyed (May 1937), and the Graf Zeppelin II didn't make its first flight until 14 September 1938.

Thanks Postmaster GS. I thought it would be something like that. Also, that's good info about the gap in flights. Thanks.

Regardless, it's an attractive cancel.

In addition to Postmaster's (always informative) post, the Sieger Zeppelin Post Katalog lists that advertising stamp as #0455VI, with a value of 20 Euros. The Frost Catalog values a cover or postcard with that mark as $25.

Good catch, Neeskens13! I hadn't noticed the Sieger entry. For sake of completeness, here it is:
