I meant to write Longeville. I know there is a Longeville de Mer in France on the coast. This postcard has no indication of to which country it was sent. If there is one, I could not identify due to the fancy writing. What is that abreviated writing after the Longeville. I wish someone can read that. Thanks.
Longeville is in Alsace which at that time was is Germany.
After the Franco Prussian war the French Provinces of Alsace & Lorraine were taken over by Prussia and subsequently incorporated into Germany. They were returned to France after WWI,
There is another Longeville. Small town in the Lorraine department of France and is known as Longeville-les-Metz. The town is just south of Luxembourg. Most likely the one, since usually they omit the word "les" or "sur" etc, much like in Germany they omit "an der" ( as In Frankfurt Oder ).
