I just bought Part II - Canada and have a question about the nomenclature in the book. Here is a snippet from page 183:



If anyone knows, what do the "R" and "G" columns reference?

The G column shows the Gibbons numbers, so I presume that the R column is another catalogue's numbers.

Encyclopedia published by Robson Lowe? I'd say R = Robson Lowe number and G = the equivalent Gibbons number.

I've got Part I (British Empire in Europe) and have the same nomenclature. I fully agree with Geoff.
