Rare Error On Italian Stamp

RARE ERROR on Italian stamp.
Please, if anyone has something similar by Italian postage stamps to put on forum.

When I enlarged your scan for a better look, it appears that this might possibly be an ink transfer problem. If it is such, I believe a more proper term would be "freak" or "oddity" rather than error. Hopefully someone with more experience than me will add an opinion.

The classic error, lack of color, when the stamp printed, there was a small deformation tint, it is considered defective because it rarely happens in the printing of the so-called island on stamp. In the German Philately is made about the entire science and even there are great exhibits on the subject.

Yes, it is defective. No, it is not rare - it happens often. In philately, this is known as "EFO" or Error/Freak/Oddity.

Sorry, your stamp is not rare or valuable ...
