Here's some Hitler Head overprints from the German occupation of Ukraine, 1941. Scott lists these under Russia, numbers N39-48, but they are often collected by collectors specializing in the German area as well.
If you like overprints, the German area is the one for you! The "German Area" encompasses Germany itself as well as the old East Germany, old German states, Danzig, Memel, Saar, occupations, etc. I don't know the exact number, but the German area probably contains well over 1000 different overprints, and that's not even counting local overprints that Scott doesn't even list (but Michel does). Some of them are quite valuable - and quite prone to forgery. One always needs to be wary when buying stamps where the value is in the overprint. It's usually far easier to forge an overprint than an entire stamp.
