I really don't understand all the foss around community postal boxes. I have never received mail at my door in 25+ years, and guess what: I survived..... so why is it that some people take exception to the proposed improvement? (Unless it is driven by overpaid union workers who will lose their opportunity to leave their "marker's" mark on beautiful canadian stamps on letters. As Bob Dylan said many years ago: the times , they are changing.

Since moving north from Toronto, we haven't had home delivery for 12 years.

We have no problems with corner boxes and find them convenient (2 blocks away), and secure for both incoming and outgoing mail. The postal carrier will deliver larger items to the house, and if we're not home, leave a card in the box so we can pick it up at the local post office (4 blocks away).

As the link went to a French only site, I have no idea what it said. Five years of high school French and can't read, write, speak or understand spoken French to this day. BTW - it was the same for me with Latin too.
