Hi all. I am just wondering if this is a French version of a 'test' stamp for new postal employees? The wording 'sans valeur' I think means 'without value'?

It appears to be a post 1940s stamp, but, I am not certain.

They train new postal employees? Do the current employees ever get refresher training? Wonder what the curriculum contains. I think my local PO employees - especially the post mistress - must have skipped training.

Thanks all for your help. I found this stamp in one of two large plastic bins, totalling 400,000 plus stamps, all off paper. I am still finding the odd stamp here and there.

Naturally, there are mostly regular stamps, but 1000s were in the $2.00 to $10.00 range. There were a few hundred in the $11.00 to $100.00. I was months going through them all.
