In the 70's and 80's, Japan came out with sets of stamps depicting their national parks.

Here are 15 sets that were issued, I do have about 10 additional complete sets, that are on other pages mixed with other complete
sets.

Cool set! One of the more interesting Japanese issues beside their Art issues. I've also have most of them.

Nice! These are really beautiful. I love Japan stamps, and the whole oriental "style". I have most of my house decorated in this style. I just bought a kiloware ( they called it that) of 1,000 + Japan stamps from ebay last week, super cheap, and I can't wait to get them!

Yes, I guess with Japan you either dig it or you do not..the stamps are beautiful..i would think more people would collect them..i have a lot of fairly recent Japan that goes begging because traders and buyers want the traditional stuff...Canada, United States, Western Europe !!

I also like Asian aesthetic and art. I had even tried Bonsai for a short while, until I kept killing the trees & shrubs. I also tried water color a few years ago. My favorite symbol is the yin yang. Balance is a good thing. Some of my favorite bookmarks are made from bonsai and asian traditional costume stamps.
