With North Korea once again in the news. I thought it would be interesting to see some stamps from a country that has been cut off from the rest of the world for right at half a century.

All of these are from 1995 except for the 5 birds in the lower left which are from 1990.

Looks ok in my book. A real nation producing real stamps for real postage is realistic.

Not really for postal use.....printed for sale to collectors only.......they are all CTO's with the cancel printed as part of the stamp.........every sheet has exactly the same cancels in the exact same positions.

Gussy posted some of these stamps a month or two ago......they have the same cancels.

I thought that they may have been CTO's, but I really don't know non-US stamps.

CTO's are still real stamps, just not as valuable as postally cancelled stamps.
