I recently acquire this beauty. (54 VF NH) Unfortunately, it shows the queen weeping...I wonder if anyone has seen similar tear under the young queen eyes? (I also noticed a few dots all over...perhaps guide dots not properly erased during plate set-up?

Not on R.Lowe list of varieties. Lovely stamp designed by Lyndwoode Pereira assisted by F. Brownell.

RDavid, Thanks for having a look at the posted stamp.
You seem to have a very good source of reference. Can you provide some info on the R. Lowe book mentioned above> (title, date etc..) I would like to check if avail in local library or the BNAPS site.

My source for most of these biographical references is "The Encyclopedia of British Empire Postage Stamps" I have only Volume 5, Parts I-IV, The Empire in North America.Published by Robson Lowe LTD. First Edition 1973. I bought these books in England in1974.

Gilles, I have seen quite a few of the 5c and have not seen this one before. I checked my part sheet of the 5c Jubillee and it is not on any of the right three columns. The Major Re-entry on the 5c is actually very faint and hard to see.

A good book that can be found cheap is Boggs. I have seen it for $30-$50 and it gives details on all Canadian stamp up to the mid 20th century. I use it for anything that I don`t have a specialized book about it.
