I am looking for some stock books for my Dad and I both. I figure we only need a couple each to start out with. Where do you buy yours online? I have been checking out the usuals, Mystic, Subway, etc. but I wanted to check here before I committed.

I haven't found many on ebay. And the ones I do are usually more than from the retail places! I have came across some on Stampwants, but about the same situation there, and most of those are used for the same prices.

I am also looking for a 3-ring binder for my world wide. I am using a binder intended for baseball cards, with my own pages, but I am thinking of getting the Voyager album from Mystic. I love my US album, I like them preprinted , filling the spaces is fun! I need a US album for my Dad, I got mine on ebay.

Can you recommend where to buy some? It has to be online, I live too far from anywhere that would have them.

Hi Stephanie

I got a US 3 vol album from Mystic last year. I really like it. At the time it was $49.99 and seems to have all the stamp in it.

When I get home I can scan a couple of pages for you.

I think gussy has one also and likes it.

Dianne

Check out this site. for $20 a year you can use your own printer and print out albums for a many countries as you want! Make sure you use a heavy weight paper.

Stock books? Check with Tina, she's got lots of them.

US Album? I'd go with the Harris Liberty. I don't have anything against the ones you print online, but you have to have a pretty good printer, and those ink cartridges are expensive, not to mention the non-acidic paper and all that...

Like Dianne Earl, I purchased a Mystic 3 volume set and I love it. It is easy to use, Lays flat and is very complete. I like it so much I bought a second one for my used U.S. stamps. So I have a set for my mint stamps and one for my used. It works out great.

Maybe it is just me or that sometimes I think in volume for storage. But for low cost I would use manila stock pages or for a little more quality and a little more price vario pages. They are much lower cost than a stock book and much more versatile. Your album can easily be added to when using these and they have many sizes to accommodate.

I have a Scott International album dated 1947 that I will soon be getting rid of. The pages resemble my standard Scott International pages and go to mid 1940s. The binder was repaired but the pages are nice and I hate to just let it sit unused. I used it for many years and it is a good album. I am taking stamps that I need out and leaving the rest in it. I will probably dump it at a yard sale or something if I can't find someone to use it.

All of the above suggestions are good. It really depends on what *you* want your collection to look like. It is rare that you will find an album that doesn't have some quirk you would like to change. That's why lots of collectors print their own pages.

You can go to the link that was suggested earlier http://www.stampalbums.com/ and download some pages for free to see if they suit your needs.

Happy Collecting!
Dan
