All,
Good news the NYC2016 Webpage now has the list of available hotels for the Big Show. I just completed a reservation and all worked well. Enjoy.

Thanks for the update and there is a good range of prices , Some will need public transportation to and from the show but that should add to the excitement of traveling to New York City . |

Just a side note about the show -------If your thinking about selling your stamp collection or parts of it .This is going to be the best time ,this means dealers are looking to expand there inventory and stock up a whole range of material to present to the visitors at the show . I believe the pricing for buys will be the highest now than anytime in the next two years . Sure the high price ticket items will be there , but dealers also know 90% of the visitors are going to be spending less than $500.00 . The beginner crowd will be out in force and will need lots of daily specials . Don't forget the stamp auction houses will need huge inventories because many overseas dealers will be present ,trust me on this ,show dealers are going to expand their credit limits to have inventory . |

I don't know how true this is. High quality material always sells anyway, and there is always a large supply of lesser quality material around which will not suddenly get more valuable. It's an expensive show to do, so I expect prices at the show to be generally high regardless of the initial cost to the dealer. I also think that this show will be the last hurrah for a few dealers (I know of one already), so they might not be in the market for more material anyway. |

Hi - I just saw the list and noticed a number of the hotels are in New Jersey. It appears that the organizers made deals with the major hotel chains. There are hundreds of independent and boutique hotels in NYC at reasonable prices. If you are looking for a true NYC experience, I would look around for more options and avoid New Jersey. Although I live in New Jersey and commute into NYC, my wife and I typically spend the night in Manhattan after shows, concerts, events, etc.. There have also been some significant problems with the tunnels into NYC the past month which I would hope are resolved by next year, but I wouldn't count on any politicians to fix the problems in time! |

As a former NYC resident, I wouldn't dream of staying in NJ for something like this. Wow, the hassle. |

As a NJ resident, I couldn't agree more, stay in Mnhattan! The only warning for anyone visiting NYC for the first time is the size of hotel rooms. I have been in rooms where there were only around all but one side of the bed. |
