Interesting items, never seen them myself. Looks like an attemp to appeal to 3 different hobbies in one item, without really doing a good job of appealing to any one of them. If it only had a piece of currency on it as well, it would get a Golden Sombrero.

For the life of me, I can't figure out the relationship between the coins and the stamps. Are they just using random items?

Looking at the years, I think you are right, TheArtfulHinger. I know they come out of Topps baseball pack. I've never seen one in person.khj, I agree, pick a stamp that can be placed correctly, not sideways.lol But thNolan Ryan and Cal Ripken does have the silver quarters.
