Hi everyone. I came across a stamp collection that I want to sell. I know nothing about stamps. Even though I've spent about a week doing research I figured I would turn to a forum to get some information. I did find some of the stamps I have, but there is just so much to stamp collecting that I'll never learn it all. Lol. I have over 200 different stamps from 20 countries. A lot of duplicates also. Yesterday I put a few different ones for sale on ebay just to see how it would go. I have all of the stamps scanned to my computer if anyone wants to take a look at them. How is the best way to sell them? And where? Thanks in advance for your advise. :)

For us to help you'll need to show us some of your scans so we can see what you have. |

Idk what I'm doing wrong. It is only showing the Magyar stamps. I put up other ones but when I looked they aren't there. Maybe there is a delay b/c I'm new? |

Hi GotStamps5 and welcome to MR! The stamps you show (Hungary) were produced in the millions and millions and put in every stamp packet known to mankind While most common stamps have an actual street value of 2-3 per penny, yours are probably valued at 10% of this. Sorry, but I think the only way to sell them is to include them in a stamp mixture with better stamps. They stand no chance on their own. |

The Hungarian stamps are common, but some of my favorites for sentimental reasons. |

Thanks for the info. I figured they weren't worth much, especially alone. The stamps I did find were worth less than a dollar.. Would be nice to find that $1,000 treasure though. :) LOL.. But I will take pics with my camera of the pages in the album and upload those. That will give the idea of the whole book. I do want to just sell it as a whole. Maybe someone new to collecting would like a nice addition. :) |

Nice stamps, but basically all common minimum value stamps. Maybe consider this as a start of your stamp collection and trade material, rather than trying to sell them. |

Thanks khj. It was fun to look up and read about the stamps I found. And of course they're all rare and unique to me, lol. I see why people collect them, fun hobby. Ironically, I found them while trying to lessen my storage load. |

You really need to start collecting... 1st page Great Britain Machins (including Regional Issues), 2nd page Canada. Definitely a nice starter collection. Clear out the rest of the stuff to make room for the stamps. That's what I do! |
