I sold an item on ebay to a buyer in Daugavpils, Latvia and mailed it July 8. July 13th the buyer left Feedback. Which is fast but not out of the realm of possibility. Now a week and a half ago he emails me that the item didn't arrive. I was almost going to refund his money until I noticed he left me Feedback back in July. He emailed me last week and I tried to tell him how to go thru ebay's Resolution Center. So far I haven't heard anything back from him or from ebay. At this point I don't know if he followed thru on the claim or if ebay told him he couldn't any longer since he had left the Feedback.

Leaving feedback is not the be all, end all as far as ebay is concerned. I've seen it happen a few times in the baseball card side of things. Buyer can just claim he left the feedback for the wrong item. Good luck with that one man |

Thanks. I was wondering about that. I know if you go into the Resolution Center you can pick out the item you want to complain about. But I was wondering if once Feedback has been left if the item maybe disappears. I figured I'd at least make him jump thru a few hoops first before digging into my Paypal account. |

For a $7.50 postcard to Europe anything but standard Airmail isn't even an option since Registered Mail costs $13.95 on top of the $2.21 postage. And no one is going to pay that. |

Mixing up purchases/feedback can happen - I recently had a buyer leave feedback for three items before I'd posted them! |

Does ebay ever do anything about buyers who habitually claim they don't receive items? I suspect they don't, and it seems like a serious flaw in their system. |

I've always wondered that too. You can't help feeling that the buyer is always right and the seller is on his own. Which admittedly sounds harsh. But so many of the rules seem to be stacked in favor of the buyer. Look at Feedback and then go from there. And yes I keep selling and keeping my fingers crossed. |

And no one is going to pay that Then you sell to US only....or charge the rates. If a buyer wants it....he/she will pay. Now look....you are out the item and the $7.50 bid. |

So far the losses are few. And if I made changes I would loose a lot of other sales. For the expensive stuff the shipping goes up to Priority or Express for overseas shipments and I get the insurance coverage and the customer pays or no sale. It's annoying to loose something though and be out the sale and the item. You have to trust the buyer but there's always the question of whether they are being honest about the non-receipt. Especially on a new customer and someone with a lower Feedback score even though perfect. |

I just bought a large group of specialized Turkish definitives from seller in Istanbul. I have white knuckles over the shipment passing through Kennedy airport. I grew up just a few miles from Kennedy and it makes me feel ashamed. |

I'm in the middle of this exact situation. Last week I was leaving feedback for a number of purchases &, being on auto pilot, left feedback for an item I haven't received yet. |

This is no bull... I think most stamp collectors are honest....but.... before I started to use tracking about 10% was making claims for non-receipt. I am not kidding...10%. I think ebay should look at the "who filed claims" situation. Since tracking.....I have had 1. It shows going thru 3 scans....looks like the final scan was not scanned and ebay sided with the buyer. Which I think is unfair....anyway. I sell plenty....and for the % to be like it was is just dishonest buyers. Oh well.... Just do the best. |

Well, the 45 days are up. So who knows what the final result is. This is one of those 'let sleeping dogs lay' things right now. |

I've seen this before and always seems to be Eastern Europe. My apologies to collectors from this area of the world but there's something going on over there.

Somehow I think that money has a lot to do with this and ebay doesn't feel the economics merit doing anything about it. |
