Scott catalogs do not carry Mexican Revenues. There are other catalogs. Someone else I'm sure will mention them.

tazzman: visit the web site of the Mexico Elmhurst Philatelic Society Intl. ( www.mepsi.org ). They have a book for sale on Mexico revenues. If you're not interested in the entire book, maybe the author would answer any questions you have about your particular stamp. He's one of the officers. I think there may be a catalog of revenues, but I'm not aware of a title.

If you're into Mexico stamps, you might consider joining MEPSI. I'm a member myself, since Mexico is one of my several specialty areas of interest.

Addendum: I just found this web link on another thread: www.jbarefoot.co.uk . He's got a lot of stuff on world revenues on his site. I didn't see anything Mexico specific. But It's a big site and I didn't look at everything.

Is it a Revenue used in Chihuahua, Mexico. Probably is the Gral. Ignacio Zaragoza, the Hero of the Puebla battle in 1862 during the French Intervention.

Regards!
Rodolfo

It is a Renta Interior stamp with talon, #R274, and catalogs $0.25.

Here is the relevant page from the new catalog. This 2011 catalog, which updates the Stevens catalog from the 1970s, is essential if you do anything with Mexican revenue stamps.

The catalog is $65 shipped from Eric Jackson:

Mexico's Revenue Stamps, An Introduction to the Revenue Stamps of Mexico by Michael D. Roberts, Nicholas Follansbee, William Barr and Frank Sternad. Priced catalog and handbook with hundreds of color illustrations. 2011. Paper boards. 296 pages.
