Probably (as there is no scan or photo) it is part of a London sub post office duplex postmark belonging to Throgmorton Avenue.

Then it really is part of a sub office duplex postmark of the Throgmorton Avenue variety The other circular part of the duplex would have the THOGMORTON AVENUE on it and a CX of Charing Cross.

It is a well known fact that Scousers would never live in a place with names like Throgmorton, Threadneedle... so, in that case, I can safely say that the list below is all London

London (not Liverpool) Branch Offices : CX= Charing Cross LS= Lombard Street CS= Cannon Street ML= Mark Lane LC= Ludgate Circus FS= Fleet Street GS= Gracechurch Street TA= Throgmorton Avenue TS= Theadneedle Street P= Paddington

Why is this not being discussed in the appropriate "World" forum? When questions about U.S. stamps gets asked here in the "Main" forum, someone usually points out that there are other forums for such questions. Yet lots of questions about non-U.S. stamps get posted in the "Main" forum, and nobody cares.

Really, it doesn't matter a lot to me. I just enjoy pointing out inconsistencies.

Hahahah! Scouser is an affectionate term for a Liverpudlian. (That is, if you are a Liverpudlian.)

Over the years you can acquire loads of files regarding postmarks and associated material. I cannot remember any of the links and my storage method is a bit haphazard at best... need to sort things out but as there are probably many, many hundreds of files, I put it off for another day.
I can suggest this link... http://www.gbps.org.uk/information/...s/london.php
Go through every page and every section and you will find lots of interesting statistics and examples.
