Curiosity question - is anyone familiar with this firm? They seem to have a 4 page spread in every APS magazine looking to buy stamps, but I don't think I've seen much from them in terms of selling. They apparently have an ebay store and do discount postage, but I wouldn't have known that if I didn't google them - they don't show any website link in their ads soliciting collections.

Also it looks like they have the same street address as the Kelleher/Rogers folks in Danbury CT, although different suite number. Does anyone know if they are related?

Thanks

I don't believe that they are related (other than location). I haven't had the pleasure of doing business with them.

The lack of a website or ebay store link in their print ads probably is psychological. If you're trying to induce sellers of high quality collections to sell to you, you probably don't want them to know that in some cases you break up their collection, turn around and sell it on ebay. They probably sell through a variety of channels including wholesale to dealers, retail to private buyers who have provided want lists, and online.

Their ebay store has over 2,500 items, all Buy It Now, many scarce or rare and priced accordingly.

I have purchased a few zeppelin covers from the ebay store and have been quite pleased. They also have a great selection of advertising covers on the website.

ORACLE ----Sounds like they buy everything and are very aggressive seekers of collections and valuable estates . My guess is that they have a fat checking account as very aggressive buyers and can buy a number of collections ,where many dealers are restricted in their purchases and have limited cash in hand . They probable have a working relation with Kelleher to unload the bulk of what they buy thru their auctions while at the same time holding back some quality material to sell themselves .
You have to remember a firm like Kelleher will list 2 or 3 million dollars in stamps in just one auction and can have 2 or 4 auctions that they are trying to acquire material for and consignments may not diverse enough to fill a auction catalog . So they ,and all auction houses work with professionals like ED YOUNGER Co. to bring in consignments .
