Jenny, first time I ever see an imperf cancel! Just kidding. They seem OK, although they all seem to be CTO's. Pretty set!

Rafa, those are just as pretty as Jenny's, but also CTO's. I can not read the cancel on my computer, but I can tell it is different.

Mark is interesting "BRUGG b ROETNENBACH, MAR 26, Vor 8-9, 20 '. Peter whether you can help me? Is that maybe a railway mark from Switzerland "Brugg" to Germany "Roetnenbach"?

It is not a railway cancel. It is from Brugg bei Roethenbach. And it was cancelled to order, never used to pay postage. According to Floortrader above their value is the same as mint hinged stamps!

I suppose I shouldn't assume people will follow my links. Please note that this site (http://www.bayernsammler.de/pg/pe/wa12.html) suggests that these B. b R. cancels would not have been possible.

Or am I reading it incorrectly?

I suppose that it is possible that they took an old cancel device out of the drawer for making CTOs.

It would have to have been in that drawer for twenty years. I suppose anything is possible.
