I guess I read more into the marking or what the dealer told me. I guess that's why I didn't find info on a crash at the time of this cover. Good info on this site. I didn't pay much for the cover and it still is a neat addition to my cover collection. Thanks for the information.

Got this one from a donation that had a drawer in the tool box. Also included was a marriage certificate and other papers.

Cool corner card of the Probate Court. Assuming this cover and the marriage certificate are from the same person that would make the vow "until death do us part" poignant since Probate Court is where wills and estates are settled when someone dies.

Here are some new postal cards. Both are Chicago Blues. The first is a blue anchor, the second scan turns the cancel on it's side to better see the anchor. The third scan comes from Berg's book "Chicago Blue Postal Markings, 1870-1877"













Here is a scan of a Chicago blue Shield.
