An unusual cancel to find on a Queensland cutout! Is it from Denmark? Bavaria? United States? Does anyone recognise it?

Thanks, pagoda. I had no idea that triple-ring cancels were ever used in Australia. How many numbers were there?

6 have been identified although higher numbers are known but not allocated to a particular office.

They are scarce and are usually on 1/2d. Newspaper Wrappers. Not much value on a cutout especially in the condition yours is in.

Thanks for the info, Pagoda! I wasn't assuming any value here - I was just curious about it, since it looked to me like it had been cancelled somewhere overseas.

Did any other states use ring type numeral cancellations?
