In December, 1943, for a letter from Britain to the U.S., what was the airmail rate and the registration fee? I'm writing up a cover and am not familiar with British postal rates. It is franked with two 9d stamps. Thank you.

Yes, I am aware that this references Canadian rates, but there is general information relating to the time period you seek that may prove beneficial.

Stampalotapus: Thanks so much for your efforts, much appreciated. I have the answer from another source.

Airmail rate was 1/3d (one shilling 3 pence = 15d), registry was 3d. So the two 9d stamps paid the correct 18d postage.
