There's really no offical "governing body" in the hobby that defines various terms. To most collectors "mint" simply means "unused", hinged or not. To others, "mint" only means a pristine, never hinged, post-office fresh stamp. Others eschew the term "mint" altogether. To your original question, "original gum, never hinged" is synonymous with "mint never hinged", at least in my opinion. If I ordered a stamp described as OG NH and it was CTO or anything other than MNH, I'd consider it to be a deceptive description of the item.
