Who Is Your Favorite Ebay Auctioneer?

I buy most of my stamps/collections either from APS Sales circuit or ebay.... The one I use most is NobileSpirit for lots and collections.

I rarely/never buy singles on line. I like to physically inspect the items I buy as singles.

Who do you use / recommend?

I seem to have the best luck buying collections from outside the US but noblespirit and NYstamps are both good if you get lucky, some nights they have alot of bidders and sometimes people will overlook something but they both start low and I never see any signs of shill bidding so you at least have a fair shot. All in all I search and put 100's of things in watchlist and I seem to get lucky enough to keep me busy sorting.

I noticed that too. I guess "no self promotion allowed". Actually, I use him as one of my vendors for contemporary items. Never had any problems with him.

I shop mostly for covers now on ebay. In the past, I've bought a lot from "Dr. Jim Stamps." Lately, I've been acquiring WWII patriotic covers. I've made repeated purchases from a number of sellers: usa1847fred, bookmark6, ira50-, whitscovers, herpcrazi, lakeside stamps, the_purveyor_of_needful_things,fdcwunders, rka, dwstiegler, and many others.

But I do not typically shop "by seller." Typically I am searching for covers related to a particular stamp, or doing a broad search like for "ww ii" in "covers." The latter kind of search will turn up several thousand listings, but only 2-400 new listings a day, so I'll sort on "new listings" and just look through those.

I try to buy from people that don't ordinarily sell stamps. Antique dealers, yard sale and estate hunters, etc. I just look at what's pictured and look for the couple items in it that tell me it's a decent collection, not some kid's collection from the 70s. I've had very good luck with that over the last few years.
