@revenuecollector Thanks for sharing. Very nice set-up there including the magnification operations assistant... but definitely sleeping on the job there I see! When and if a proprietary battleship revenue ever happens upon your desk I would indeed love to see the "USIR" watermark on your system via the backlight.

I'm not sure about revenuecollector, but here are some examples from my very modest collection using the same device. I think that you can see the watermarks relatively well.

@Partime Splendid! Very much appreciate your taking the time to entertain a request from an old man. Very interesting the watermarks are still easy to see even though the paper used on this series is so thin and cheap.

No problem whatsoever. This part of my collection is very sparse, and most have paper remnants on the back, as I am too lazy to soak them off correctly. Take care, old man.

This approach may be good for capturing stitch watermarks ...

Good point. I have a few stamps that I have to look at again now.

I really do love the idea of these amazing hands-free digital magnifiers. But they aren't cheap, so I prefer the old-fashioned magnifying glass with a lamp. Maybe for my birthday, though . . . ?
