After several months of just dabbling with stamps, I took the plunge today by winning an on-line auction from a local dealer. This is the auction I bid on:

"Lot of 5,000-10,000 Mixed World From Old-Mid 20th Century Collection
Collection Contains 2 Albums as well as Many Loose Stamps.
Even Contains Some 19th Century Stamps!
Some High Values and Lots of Catalogue Value.
This Collection is Totally Unsorted."

I'll be picking up the collection at the end of the week and probably spend most of the weekend sorting and cataloging the stamps. I'll post some of the finds and I'm sure I'll be needing lots of help from the experienced members. I'm pretty excited and can't wait to see what's in this collection.
