Just thought I'd post this in case anyone lives close enough to attend , I'm only 15 minutes away so I'm pretty excited about what I might find , I have been to 2 shows recently one which was 2 and a half hours away made me sympathize with those of you who live far away from metropolitan areas.

Jayelem,
If they have a postcard for the event by artist Rick Geary could you pick one up for me? He usually does a Route 66 theme for the events. I have a set of his postcards from years past. The original is hand drawn and colored prior to printing. I would gladly pay for the card & shipping. Thanks.

You want an original ? sounds pricey ....
Sure I can get you one if they have an event postcard , seems like they have had quite a few in the past.
The last one designed was for the Joplin Show in 2008 , I didn't now about these postcards until you mentioned it .
I just saw that there are 38 postcards in the set so far , do you have most of them ?

No, I don't want an original, I'm not even sure that would be possible. Just the standard show card. I know I have over 30, but I don't know where I left off. I will have to double check and get back to you.

I had a brief moment to dig out my postcards and I think I left off at the Joplin or Springfield MO show in 2007.

Thanks for looking & the link. I had bought a set of cards from that site a little over a year ago. I hope you had fun and were able to fill some holes.

I did fill some holes as a matter of fact , I had a gap (a sequence of numbers) in a particular set , the funny thing is that I didn't stop shopping for lack of money , I stopped for lack of postcards of my topic.

I would be very discouraged by the response of some dealers who claim that not many views exist if it wasn't for the fact that I already have over 40 postcards (many Real Photo) and I know that many more exist , to sum it up I found 3 postcards and had fun searching for them , but I did expect to have found more of them.

What postcards are you looking for? I have a local postcard dealer I can check with. You may already be know him or even know that he can't help you since he may have been at the Chicago show. His name is Bill Burdick and I'll check his stock if you wish.

Guantanamo Cuba is my postcard craze in fact I also scan the postcards and send them to the historical society in that town , they're amazed at what I have found that they didn't have or either knew existed.
