It is not often that I make so little progress with so many clues.

Q/ The stamp: does anyone know what St Martin did for Eschen?

Q/ The slogan: does anyone know anything about the 1969 air show in Vaduz?

Two local newspapers http://www.volksblatt.li/ & http://www.vaterland.li/ archives did not help, Google got me nowhere ...

... but the slogan LUFT UND RAUMFAHRT AUSTELLUNG {AEROSPACE EXHIBITION} VADUZ 25.7-17.8.1969 seems clear enough, does it not?

TIA, Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey

There's a poster that says the show was held on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Principality of Liechtenstein (if that's of any use).

I originally set this stamp aside for posting to https://goscf.com/t/15293 ... Stamps That Make You Go... HUH ???

After all, the artist is an artist, and drew what they drew, and that sure looks like a kneeling naked lady. Why?

Hello,

I am not sure what specifically St Martin did for Eschen but the link below may help in terms of the horse rider and the naked lady. Per the link below, he was often depicted on horseback cutting his cloak to cover the nakedness of beggars.

Hope this helps.
