are the pictures the right size so you just match them up? If not how do you use it?

Yes, the sizing of the pictures in the paper version of the 2007 T&T catalog are accurate, although for many, older, rubber types [400-500-600 series] the precancels can be distorted on the stamps.

And some, with footnote 4 (I think) were printed from plates where the width between the lines actually permanently varies in size. So for example, the regular T - 841 will line up perfectly to the image, but the extra-wide ones will be anywhere from 1 - 2+ mm wider (between the lines).

That gets me almost every time - which is why I mention it.
