For those of us interested in French stamps who can read French, here is an excellent site containing not only information on French tagged stamps but also lots of other most useful info (richly illustrated) on various other aspects of French materials of philatelic interest:
The information in Part II - Production of Postage Stamps is amazing and I'm trying to absorb it.
But even though I took French in High School many moons ago (btw I hated it but it was mandatory) my understanding of the language is close to zero. I know, I know there is Google translate and others but I find them not very helpful.
