I searched for this topic but didn't find it; sorry if it's in any way redundant. I've noticed a few comments on SCF regarding multicolored, line-engraved stamps printed on the Giori press. It's an intriguing area that I'd like to learn more about.

Here are a few examples of stamps that were apparently printed by the Giori press. I don't know for sure if the Slania S/S from Sweden was printed by this method, but I assume it was. Would love to see additional examples you have of Giori-printed stamps.

There have been at least a couple of threads regarding the
Giori "process" in the Stamp Production Process Forum

https://goscf.com/t/39442&whichpage=1

https://goscf.com/t/36258

plus there was mention of it in the Collecting by Engraver
thread but I couldn't tell you on which page.

The Swedish stagecoach Scott 751A was printed by
3 colour steel-engraving Goebel press using the Giori process

The Slania SS was printed by a 10 colour Goebel press, capable
of printing 6 colours engraved and 4 colours offset.

The Giori process is also part of the discussion here on
Pages 112 - 115 of the Collecting by Engraver
thread.

The 1962 Hammarskjold issue invert is
mentioned in an interesting article.
It explains why the invert occurred even though
the Giori process is basically about printing multiple colours
using only one plate during one pass through the press.

Sometimes, these things are best searched from outside the forum.

1) Google {stampcommunity giori}

2) select [More results from www.stampcommunity.org]

... and you not only get lots of results - including https://goscf.com/t/36258 (by lithograving) - but you get text snippets of what was said, which can save a good bit of time.

When you get to a individual page, use your browse on-page search function (often [Ctrl-F]) to find 'Giori'.

Cheers,
