Dr Chang World Stamps Album

i use to use dr chang web site as an encyclopedia for my own collection
but lately I change my pc and a few day after I realise that is site give me an error message. I just can t open it I don t thing is my new pc .is somebody known what is all about I realy missed this site

Yes, I just noticed this too, and I use a Mac. This is an unfortunate sign of our times when we too often rely on the Internet and certain websites as reference material instead of a book on our bookshelf.

Of course, I too, used it as one of my main online references for my collection

I suspect Dr. Chang is unaware of the problem

I recognize the error as being a typical Microsoft ASP web server error. The cause can be one of several things including anything from a broken web.config file to a broken SQL query. It may take only a minute or two to troubleshoot and fix this or it may be much uglier and take a few hours. Impossible to tell without having access to the server.

I was just on it and it is now working. What a great site I am going to put into my favorite's.

Always a great site. Has anyone added up how many stamps does he have. I know he says 90% through 1990 would imply about 300K or so... Anyone have any ideas?

LANDOQUAKES ------That is the best single owner worldwide collection on the internet . It is made up 177 countries listed on that side bar but as you view it ,some have groups of countries listed under that country heading .
I did a random count and very few had a thousand stamps under that main heading with four or five going well over a thousand stamps but many had dozens or hundreds of different stamps . So my figure would be around 200,000 to 220,000 different stamps . It is still amazing collection and a gift to all other stamp collector from him to post it .

I applaud his efforts too and there is come comfort that he allows some spacefillers in his collection just like many collectors do (myself included!) The cancels on some of the stamps are fun to look at too (like the early US) I like that the images are the right size and easy to flip through his pages.
