PDFs can have dependencies on the fonts that an operating system has installed. When the PDF opens, it looks for the font it was developed with, if it does not find it, it will usually try to substitute a similar font. The problem is that not all font sets have the same characters. For example it might be able to substitute the normal Arial characters but not be able to properly substitute the Arial italics characters. So obviously locobot has run into a problem like this.

Thought I'd show some examples of Steiner pages that I edited using PowerPoint. These were printed front and back and placed in pages protectors. Notice, however, you can see the print on the reverse side of the page.

Chris2015, you give us a good example why we should print only on 1 side and insert 2 pages back to back:; we see the square and letters from the other side true the thin paper.

Yes, very true!

I will go back to printing only on one side.

area66, The paper is not that thin (it is 70lb text), but because of the light shining through it from the scanner, you do see the print and boxes from the other side.

I have now gone back to only printing on one side and placing two sheets together front and back in the page protector.

Thanks!
