Titanic Sinking, Early Postcard.

Titanic sank the 15th April 1912 and the postcard is dated 24-4-1912 with already the info of the sinking. They sure didn't waste any time producing this postcard.

Is it possible that an existing stock of postcards was utilized and the inscription shown above the ship was quickly overprinted to produce what's seen here? Or, if it was feasible, someone had it overprinted after it was mailed? If so, does anyone have an example of the card without the inscription? If not, it would have been a bit of a feat to produce the entire card in such short time after this tragedy.

In any event, it's quite a remarkable card.

I bet if you had a titanic postcard dated the day it sank it would be worth a fair bit

Even Titanic memorabillia is worth a lot, if it is old.

In fact, all the information about the sinking was added to the remaining stock, surely just a few days after the tragedy.
I found 2 examples with some info here:

I also found that most of the photo postcards inscribed Titanic are actually the Olympic ship (sister to the Titanic) with the name changed.
