This is from a MNH block of 4 with all colours, except red, shifted up and to the right.

It was printed in four colour photolithography, but the colours are not included in the archived reports.

They only refer to "four colour", without specifics, in all that I found.

The reason why only four "colours" are mentioned
in the Canada Post Archives is because the printing
process used by CBNC at that time was the CMYK four colour process.

That offset/litho press had 4 stations capable using
up to four inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black)
to combine and print a range of colours
In your stamp there was misrepresentation misregistration
where the magenta shows through where it shouldn't.

Nowadays of course printers like Lowe Martin use 8+
colour photolitho presses where they can combine

to create true, realistic, life like colours on stamps like never
before.
