552i - extra accent between ER (column 2)
552ii - dot under B of BRITANNIQUE (column 3) (position 48)
552iii - dot between BR of BRITISH (position 35),

Accent on "N" of CONFEDERATION


Dot over last "O" of CONFEDERATION


Dot under B of Britannique

The first part of a study related to this stamp was published in French. Notwithstanding the language, the article contains numerous self explanatory pics. Some are very cool!

In his "Under the Looking Glass" column in Canadian Philatelist, Vol. 23. No. 1, Jan.-Feb. 1972, Ken Pugh described a large number of constant plate flaws on this stamp. See:

Several flaws on this stamp were reported in Corgi Times, the newsletter of the BNAPS Queen Elizabeth II Study Group. Unfortunately, I don't have references to the specific issues to hand.

Here is one more that I found today.

It is a small dot under the D of CONFEDERATION, position 47.
