OK. Here's an attempt to reconstruct the cancel as "CANNSTATT Nr. 2" using the partial for the "CAN" portion. It appears to be a little off-center (meaning the "C" doesn't line-up with the "2", but that also appears to be the case with the last of the cancels shown in the database.

I did lean towards CANNSTATT for the reason that at least we know that a CANNSTATT Nr. 2 cancel exists for this period.

However, the reconstruction suggests that CANNSTATT would be unsymmetrical - I must check my German cancels again, but I don't think I've ever seen one that was.

The only way to resolve the question would be to see an example of RASTATT Nr. 2, but I still haven't unearthed one.

Thing is, Rastatt would be even more asymmetrical. If you look at the last Cannstatt cancel in the database, the C is slightly lower than the 2. And the reconstruction may not be 100% correct in the spacing.
