Hi guys,

I was curious if anyone could help me on the below item? I've done some research and believe the city is Hradec Králové but I would like some more insight on the importance or reason behind the overall piece and unique colors used for the postmarks.

Googling this I came up with the fact that in 2002 a Diocesan Eucharistic Congress was held for the first time in 65 years in the city of Hradec Kralove. If you count back it shows e similar congress was held in 1937!
I hope this helps?

Peter

Here's another piece with the same subject. They certainly did a fine job with stamps in earlier generations.

So this seems pretty uncommon and from 1937 right?

Why would it be uncommon? And yes, it is from 1937. That is printed right on it!

Dw, your piece doesn't seem all that uncommon. This kind of thing was done for collectors and I imagine there are lots in albums all over Europe (and perhaps even the world.)

Peter, why the sarcastically rude response? You're part of the reason that younger people are so turned off from this hobby. I'm asking questions because I'm curious and just because something is printed on a philatelic item, doesn't mean that's when it was done. Even I know that as a novice collector.

If you're tired of people asking questions to learn about the hobby, then I'd suggest not reading or participating in these forums.

Thanks to all of the other considerate and courteous responses.
