Canada SC # 32 ( 2c Green Laid Paper ) In Subway Brown Pages

Hi, can someone who have the Subway reprint of the Scott Brown pages can tell me if they include the Canada Sc # 32 2c green laid paper

I ask because in my 1917 scott catalog the 2 cents was not included only the 1 and 3 as Scott 28 and 29 , so I guess albums produced around that time by Scott should not have the 2 cents, witch will be a good thing , since only 2 example of this time exist, I ever they come for sale it will probably be 2 - 3x the actual catalogue value, if not more.

The third copy of the 2c Large Queen on laid paper was sold by Eastern Auctions (Gary Lyon) in their October 16th, 2014 sale. It was discovered in an APS sales book. Most experts consider this to be the best of the three known copies. It sold for $215,000.

The first two known copies of this stamp were certified genuine by the Royal Philatelic Society, London in 1935. To the best of my knowledge, there is no record of their existence prior to that date.

In the Canada Basic Catalogue 4th Edition 1968-1970 (1969) by K. Bileski on page 23, he mentions that 3 copies exist of the 2 cents green Large Queen on laid paper. This was before the latest copy was discovered recently. Someone told me that one of the copies was destroyed by someone who wanted to make the stamp rarer. Was Bileski correct about three copies back then?

I checked my copy of the Vintage Reproduction reprint and it only has the 1c and 3c.

The reference to a third copy early on of the 2-cent Large Queen on laid paper was from a printed article mentioning that there were three copies. This report is due to either a misquote or misunderstanding during an interview where someone speculated that there could be a third copy and it got printed there was a third copy. This reference was quoted many times although at that time there were only two copies known. The copy I found is the official and only third copy found of this stamp.

The first documented mention of the two-cent laid, and sale I know of, was the Ferrary sales of the 1920s. In that description, the stamp is described with a question mark, meaning there was likely no prior knowledge of its existence. It was in a group lot! One would not expect to see any album page or catalogue prior to 1920 to list a 2-cent laid.

"Watermark" is correct, just a misprint. I heard a rumour once that an unused one is sitting in a vault in England that no expert thinks is genuine - how true the rumour is, who knows. Probably just a made up story
