With my old windows7 5 year old laptop and doing a specific search it get 86 listings to look at on ebay and that is even with opening world wide.

But my new 2nd hand windows7 2 months old with the same search info into ebay and I get 878 quality listings.

My own listings and things I have been looking at are appearing on forum visits, when listing, facebook, ebay searches etc.

I want to choose.......

I was doing some searches to see how many of my own qv listings came up on the ebay UK site. They did not all seem to be there yet I pay UK visibility. Depending what search terms I used ebay Cassini gave different results every time. It seemed like where there were usually tons of qv covers listed with 1d red stamps there were not that many up on ebay when I searched yesterday. I think ebay casinni seems to be broken. I ask myself a how many potential buyers are not seeing my listings. But then I cannot complain when tonight there are 94 items with bids and my penny black cover hit $475 in a day. I just wish they would improve the ebay search engine for stamps. And not ban countries like Iran from being listed. Its dumb but they have an Iran category but if you list on USA and live in another country they won't let you list Iran covers. Pity. And for goodness sakes when I go into a sellers store I don't want to see Best Match. How about show newly listed items instead? I wish they would get it right. One wonders with all the different devices ebayers use these days what they see and what they miss.

If I do the same ebay search with the same settings on 2 computers the results are exactly the same even with different browsers.

As a UK user I get 203 listings for seller duncanvr whether I go to ebay.co.uk or ebay.co.au. However I get 208 if I use ebay.com!.

Doing a search on ebay USA, and using the advanced search by seller... this is the string/link
www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&_udlo=&_udhi=&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo=&_sabdhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=28739&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_fss=1&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_saslop=1&_sasl=duncanvr&_sop=15&_dmd=1&_ipg=200

I get 208 results for seller duncanvr with two different operating systems and 4 different browsers. different computers and different browsers or versions should not return different results. The code is 'server side', it runs the same way every time. The client side browser would never interpret the search code differently.

One important difference that may exist is between different servers, ebay has a lot of them across the world. Each ebay server is customize differently depending on what they feel users in that part of the world desire.

Post your search strings/links and we may be able to determine what is going on.

Thanks both of you for checking there should be 208 in the search results on both UK and USA for me. I am happy as long as my items are being seen on both ebay sites.
Auctions just about to end and new ones will come up so 208 will change.
