It's probably a mistake, but, of course, the internet doesn't allow for mistakes.

My buddy is an expert on Canadian covers. He says $200.00 bucks max. Nothing unusual about this cover. It will never sell.

The issue with this type of foolish use of ebay is that someone may mistakenly click on it and create a messy situation......

It must have been an honest mistake - it's down to $100.00 now!

Funny thing is that his feedback and prior listing history all look pretty good. This listing just seems an oddity for him.

The best thing about the cover is the Breeding Farm ad. Canadian collectors collect these and this one looks like a nice, clean cover which is what these collectors want.

It is also a Registered Cover, it has a small town postmark, it is a crossborder cover (not just domestic) and it has a 10c + 3c Admiral which is a nice two color combination both neatly cancelled and tied to the cover. All these small factors add to the value.

I don't collect advertising covers and I don't collect Admirals so I don't know how much it should actually sell for but this looks like a nice cover.

I just came from an auction last week where there were alot of Advertising covers and here's a link to the page with Opening Bids (Not Realizations) so you can judge for yourself. Many of these went for $100-$200 range.

I don't think it is grossly overpriced at $75US ($100 Canadian), it seems more of a 'I really don't want it to sell' kind of price. There are many cases where a seller will throw a listing out with a higher price with this kind of justification; nothing wrong with that. The first price was obviously some kind of error; kudos to the seller for making the correction.

I doubt if he would have sold it at the original price !!. $100 is more than I would pay but not that much more.
