here is a strange cancel that shows quebecque. Any help identifying what kind of cancel would be welcome. (RPO? gov't office?)Also noticed the 4 over 3 on the date.  |

Gilles, I notice a dot between the 'Quebec' and the 'Que". Maybe that means something?
Also, it looks almost as if someone wrote a '4' over the three. It is hard to tell since your picture shows sort of small on my computer.

The more I look at it, the more it looks like Quebec - Que(bec), sort of like New York, New York?
Now all you need to do is find a branch office back in 1926 that starts with PA(L?).

Gare du Palais or Palace Station is the main station in Quebec City. I have not been able to determine if there was a post office at that location though.

The old central post office in Quebec was nearby the station. The building still houses a post office. |

The Palais sub-office opened on August 1, 1912 and was closed on November 6, 1940. At the time this Admiral was spostmarked, it was located at 361 St. Paul Street. |
