I have the first 4 parts of the Scott International albums and I noticed Leeward Islands is only 1/2 page and ends with 1907 - 1911 stamps. Nothing from then until 1940 at all.

If anyone has a set of the new pages could they check the Leeward Islands to see what they have.

My pages are only a few months old.

Thanks very much

Just as an addition, I have a slightly earlier version of the set and the early Leeward Island is on the bottom half of the page and the balance up to 1940 is on the back of that page.

It looks like Scott forgot to print the back of a slightly older set on the back page of the latest set.

I have the same pages - the newer pages have 11 stamps 1907-1911 without anything printed on the back. I added an older set of pages into my album that has the Leeward Islands on the bottom half of a page shared with "Maderia." The back side of that pages covers the Leeward Islands from 1912-1938.

Thanks for the confirmation. Did you ever contact Scott/Amos?

I wonder how many others are not aware of this issue or if any one has let Scott/Amos know.

So it appears to be a Amos/Scott printing issue. I will call them on Monday and see what they say. I emailed them a couple of days ago and not heard back.

At $120 per set, we should not have to do fixes or work arounds

The shortage of the Leeward Island page in the "modern" 4 part editions is one of two known differences compared to the "69 edition, when the last major changes in the albums contents was made. The other difference in the 4 part editions is the absence of Anjouan, which is found in the '69.

From the comments section of my Leeward Island blog post...

For some reason the 1997 Big Blue has only 13 spaces for the Leewards. No rationale, really. Not even the Coronation Issue is there.

Joe- Very interesting
-that means one whole page (31 spaces) was not put in the '97 edition. This could have simply been inadvertent, as I believe that is the reason Anjouan is not found either in the '97.

Jim,
Maybe, as only the top half of the page is printed. It seems like the spaces that were squished into the 1969 were moved over to their own page, but then they didn't even fill out the rest of the page.
Joe

I would be interested in what Amos says about it.

Hmmmm, My '92 copyright BB has Southern Rhodesia starting on the same page as Southern Nigeria, and continuing on the next page for a total of 51 spaces.

Joe, who has a four part'97 edition, did not report Southern Rhodesia as missing.

What is the copyright on your edition?

The set that has the back part missing is 1997.

The set I have with Southern Rhodesia on the bottom of the page with the 2nd full page on the back is from 1979.

Same issues as with the Leeward Islands exactly.

I don't know when they messed this up as there were previous issues from the 90's as well.

Anjouan is missing out of my 1979 set as well.

It is in my 1947 set.

I called Amos/Scott this morning and was told can't phone them and have to email.

Not very good customer service as far as I am concerned for albums that cost as much as they do.

I emailed them at supps@scottonline.com this morning with the 3 issues posted above and we will see if they reply.

dutchman 1948, I think Amos probably did you a "favor." There would likely not be anyone answering the phone who would know the answer, and with an email, there is some hope what you are asking won't be garbled. I've had good luck getting responses via email. Not necessarily the responses I hoped to hear, but that is a different matter!
