I'm reposting here an image originally posted by SCF member remco mouthaan as I don't believe this got the attention it deserved posted in another category.

It would appear this image is of a Cinderella/Poster Stamp depicting Alcatraz Island and further appears to suggest that the item was a "limited edition" of 5000:

This seems rather elusive, as a quick internet search reveals no information about it. Interestingly, the last paragraph of the printed description on the above image suggests that it is/was the "first in a series highlighting the history of Alcatraz Island and is produced by the Golden Gate National Parks Association".

Does anyone know about any other poster stamps in this series?

I saw that in the other thread. I don't know anything about it and the x1075 code isn't coming up in searches. Can't read the copyright info in the picture. Has he tried contacting the Golden Gate National Parks Association? Here's the link:

If you go to this page and go all the way to the bottom you will find a picture near the bottom right of these same stamps with a different number in the selvage. Maybe they are numbered 1-5000.

While this has nothing directly to do with the Alcatraz poster stamps, an interesting read can be found below (pages 155 through 167) about the postal history of Alcatraz. It further points out that the 75th anniversary was in 2009, which would seem to coincide with the Alcatraz Poster Stamps shown in this thread.
