There was an interesting article in the Opinion section of the New York Times today. It's by a Turkish immigrant who is still amazed by the postal service we have in this country. It works. It didn't back home, she claims.

The postal service in Turkey must be REALLY bad if she thinks USPS is fantastic. Between clerks who lack knowledge to a letter getting lost just recently the USPS has a ways to go.

I've sent postcards in/out of Turkey, all of which arrived in a timely manner, so I suspect that, more than anything else, her criticism of TurkPost demonstrates The Universality Of The Human Condition.

I'll bet she didn't like the weather forecasts, either.

Saw a recent Pew survey/poll that gave the Postal Service the status of the most trusted federal agency. Percentage was around 85% of those responding who trust the USPS. Naturally at the bottom was Congress.
